about studio alden

I'm a solo ceramic artist who spent several years in the corporate world and later rediscovered a passion for ceramics.

studio alden

hi, this is studio alden!

I started studio alden as a side project that has now grown into a full-time gig. although I've always had a creative streak, my journey post-college led me into the corporate realm, and I even spent a short period in law school.

upon rekindling my passion for ceramics, I have dedicated myself tirelessly to enhancing my craftsmanship and expanding my understanding, allowing me to engage fully with the remarkable ceramics community.

pottery isn't for everyone, and that's okay! but if you haven't tried it, and you get the opportunity, I would highly recommend going for it. pottery can require someone to be more still than they are used to. it can also require a good bit of focus if you are working on the wheel where several different tasks must be performed at once. at any step of the creation process, many things could go wrong beyond your control.

there is always a mistake to learn from or a lesson in patience to grow from. embracing the challenges of making ceramic art and accepting them as learning experiences can make it that much more enjoyable.

I recently accomplished my goal of acquiring my own pottery wheel. looking ahead, I hope to offer private lessons. by supporting studio alden, you, the customer, are helping me move one step closer to realizing my dream. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who has supported me on this journey.

I've created a gallery page here, where you can view some of my favorite works. while I've created many more pieces than are displayed on my website, these selections offer a glimpse into my artistic style.

you can connect with me on various platforms, including instagram, tiktok, threads, facebook, pinterest, and spotify.

you're also welcome to contact me via email at info@studioalden.com.
